Tweaks and Repairs
For Windows XP/2000/.NET/2003®
The "Alpha" and "Numeric" Index pages provide several visual search methods to assist with finding the tips, tweaks and repairs available from our Tip Quarry database. Those lists may not be updated regularly, but newly submitted tips will always be available through the search forms that we provide for you
on most of the treewalkdns.com pages. Another alternative is to use our Site Map page.
Changelog
2009: Wrote "TQ Search 2009" script to help identify update requirements for "Tweaks and Repairs" with the primary intent of preserving Ted's work as much as possible. This made manual updates easier by listing and line-numbering pages using defined search terms.
Jan. 10, 2010: Deployed JavaScript Style Switcher links to the bottom of "Tweaks and Repairs" pages. More info regarding Original Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) switcher improvements for the Tip Quarry (TQ) pages for those who are interested.
Jan. 16, 2010: Wrote "TQ Editor 2010" script based on the "TQ Search 2009" scripting for mass editing. You can view samples of some of the 2010 Original search results and the 2010 Modified page edits. As you can see, there is still much work
involved to incorporate Microsoft's most recent Knowledge Base alterations, as well as references to TechNet, etc., but the "TQ Editor" scripting should make it less complicated and reduce time consumption, while preserving Ted Quantrill's original work as much as possible.
